One thing that we must all remember and not forget is where we come from and how we got started. We started out way back in 2006 in Martin, TN as a paranormal investigation team. For many years we helped hundreds of families and businesses with their paranormal activity.
While we loved helping others with that, we always found ourselves intrigued by abandoned places and historical locations as well as the small communities in which they were located. While researching these places we found out that these old abandoned places had so many stories to tell. One of the best parts about traveling to our place of investigations we got to meet so many great people and see so many great communities.
Currently, located in Savannah, TN, we are combining our love for photography, traveling, exploring abandoned places, historical locations and communities through photography as well as other media. By doing this we can preserve history and keep those old stories alive and not forgotten.
Now, with our experience in architecture, event, small business, and landscape photography we offer the community several photography and video services. We also offer prints of photos along our travels and even some original artwork. We are still a non-profit organization so be assured all of the proceeds go toward our work in historical preservation. History is being forgotten everyday and so many forgotten places are being destroyed including historical ones. Without preservation in some way their memories will also be forgotten.
We don’t know what the future holds because we are too busy being in the present. Our goal is to provide the community with several photography and videography services when needed as well as to take you along on our journey through time and bringing the past alive in the present and capturing the stories the old walls are telling.
Not only do we hope to preserve the past but to capture the present moment and helping our community grow by offering promotional services for small businesses, community events and much more. We still plan on offering paranormal investigation services from time to time when requested and still welcome anyone interested it the paranormal to join our team
Come explore with us and see how great we can make our community by learning from the past to help provide us with a better future.
What is urban exploring photography?
There is more to history than learning about it. Exploring historical locations and abandoned places long forgotten gives us a chance to see it, feel it and connect with the past. We help preserve those stories through photography. Urban exploring is the art of exploring old abandoned or decayed locations (with permission) and recording the adventure through photography or video. The biggest mistake many urban explorers make is that they do not get permission to enter location hat is abandoned We make sure we do not do this out of respect for the property, their owners and because it’s the law.
Why are you doing this stuff?
Are you the type of person who drives by an old abandoned place without a glance or simply a “look at that spooky old place’ or are you the curious type? Most folks just drive or walk by these forgotten treasures because they are “eye sores” or just plain old ugly or spooky and could care less about them.
We are the type of people who are curious by nature to know things like who lived there, why was it left behind, what’s inside, is it haunted along with many more questions. However, curiosity is only part of the reason we specialize in abandoned architectures. The main reason is because we want to learn and tell their story visually through media. We believe that everyone, everything and every place has a story. From the old height charts drawn on a door frame to the old rusted truck out back that is buried in overgrown grass. For us, if we can learn the stories and share them then in a way it can help us achieve a better future. The past is meant to be learned from, not ignored and forgotten.
If i purchase a product or service where does the money go?
They say if you love what you do and do what you love then it’s not a job and that is very true. We do NOT do this for the money however it does cost to do what we love and bring you the stories of the living as well as the forgotten. While we do offer many free services (see services page) we “sell” our photos, original artwork and other crafts to help fund our organization via equipment, travel fees, vehicle maintenance and other things that we need to do what we do.
So, don’t think of it as you are buying something but donating to help us continue to preserve history and helping us help the community not just remember the past but to preserve the memories created everyday in the present.
What kind of services do you offer?
We offer a variety of paid and free services for the community. Primarily, we offer photography and some video services however we do offer professional paranormal investigations as well.
